This workshop focused on wigs and makeup, presented at Chiquels at 101 Oxford St, Bondi Junction, people learn tips and tricks on choosing the perfect wig, hairpiece or even hair extensions, we also had our amazing makeup artists who taught the finer points of makeup application.

A beard, skin and hair grooming workshop. Facilitated by Will Fennell, men’s skin care guru and the other half of Will and Peta. The workshop was free for TSP members and is supported by Trans Sydney Pride, Will and Peta, Biodroga Skin Care, ACON & FEM.

Trans Stories 40 Years headlined Mardi Gras' Queer Thinking Festival 2018. Speakers traversed the four decades of Mardi Gras, sharing anecdotes from the hilarious to the heartbreaking that explore the community’s history and its unique perception of the world. They spoke of the glamour, the battles, the pain, the resilience, the love and their aspirations for success, family and belonging. It was moving and inspiring and the audience gave three standing ovations.

Trans Sydney Pride, in partnership with Dress for Success Sydney and The Gender Centre, is proud to announce a dedicated 2 hr workshop for Trans Women to help you get back into the workforce.

The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

This workshop taught:

 

  • Resume writing

  • Preparing and planning for the interview

  • Understand your strengths and learn how to communicate in the interview

This was the first public Transgender Day of Remembrance that Trans Sydney Pride officiated in 2017. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of those whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

Peta Friend, Penny Clifford, Colleen Windsor, Victoria Anthony and Chi Chi Farrugia to lunch and they plotted and planned a social group.  A place they could meet up in person once a month and stay connected online Penny Clifford came up with the name Trans Sydney Pride and the group was born
